A Debut of Voices, Ianthe’s Vocal Debut
I’ve always loved to sing. When I was between 10yrs-12yrs old, our world-renowned, minister of music, Hanq Neal took the time out to personally give me private vocal lessons. It was me, him and his piano, and even young I knew what a honour it was for him to tutor me. This man had played music for Queen Elizabeth, toured around the world singing and playing piano, and he saw something in me.
And every Christmas for about 3-years, I sang Who Would Imagine A King by Whitney Houston, in front of a full crowd of hundreds of hundreds of churchmembers, visitors, the pastors, global internet watchers, and those watching in other overflow rooms. What a fuckin honour! Hanq Neal has since passed, but I use my voice today to honour his memory and lengthed his legacy for he should never be forgotten.
This first video is me singing my favorite song, Sweet Love by Anita Baker. A song that has always had me in a chokehold. A song that truly enchants me and gives me desire for a love like no other. One of my current dreams is to sing these types of songs live, at beautiful piano bars throughout the world, giving my audience sweetness and tender love moments through my vessel.
I want to bring Sweet Love Back. . .

Hanq Neal
The beautiful human who gave me permission to use my gift. To use my voice. And he trusted me, to trust myself enough to show it to the world. Thank you for seeing me Mr. Hanq Neal Sir.
I’ll love you always,
Ianthe
